TASTER'S COFFEE CUP

The Taster's Coffee Cup was born thanks to in-depth research carried out by IIAC - International Institute of Coffee Tasters to find the perfect cup for the sensorial evaluation of espresso, today it is available in its new edition, the result of intense work carried out in collaboration with Club House.

The cup in fact influences the appearance, regarding the appreciation of the cream, affects the sense of smell by concentrating or dispersing the aromas that rise from the free surface of the drink, modifies the taste perception through the sensation it creates when in contact with the lips and, above all, affects the sense of thermal perception - and the regulation of the flow of the drink when it enters the oral cavity.

Precisely for these reasons, several studies have been carried out through which the optimal characteristics can now be outlined.

The technical points that make it the perfect cup for the sensorial evaluation of espresso are:

the capacity of 80 mL;

the porcelain as it is able to offer a remarkable duration (unlike earthenware it does not chip), adequate thermal insulation and a pleasant sensation when touching the lips;

the bright white to aid visual evaluation;

the lightness that gives elegance;

the elliptical section that supports the cream;
-
the right opening to allow an adequate evaluation of the olfactory phase;
-
the thermal seal.
The IIAC logo has also been crafted in the handle of the cup: discreet as always, but there to remind us that this will be a cup that will further unite IIAC tasters scattered around the world.
