Dersut Caffè S.p.a.
Via San Giuseppe 46, 31015 Conegliano (TV
Since its founding in 1949, the Conegliano-based company, thanks to its passion for coffee and the entrepreneurial spirit of its owners, has consistently pursued product quality, production process quality, and corporate organization.
Today, Dersut Caffè exclusively serves 4,000 coffee shops, primarily in the Triveneto region. It has recently expanded into Piedmont and enjoys an increasingly significant presence in key European markets and beyond, having recently expanded to the United Arab Emirates, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.
In 2002, Dersut launched its branded coffee shop project, introducing several lines over the years: Bottega del Caffè Dersut, Italiana Caffè, Giornale & Caffè, and Caffè Light.
The Dersut Coffee Museum, inaugurated in 2010, is located a short distance from the production plant. This exhibition space takes visitors on a journey through the history of coffee, exploring the entire supply chain, from plant to cup. The tour ends in the tasting room on the upper floor of the building, also home to the ABCD (Dersut Coffee Barista Academy), the training center created by the company with the aim of spreading the excellence of Italian espresso through the passion and knowledge that have distinguished it for over 70 years. It provides comprehensive training for anyone, both industry professionals and non-industry professionals, who wish to explore the world of coffee.
Since 2013, the Coffee Museum has been part of the Treviso Museum Network, a museum network that brings together numerous important institutions in the province and aims to enhance the cultural heritage of the region.
In 2018, Dersut joined Museimpresa, the association promoted by Assolombarda and Confindustria, which brings together the museums and archives of large, medium, and small Italian businesses.
The company, which has been committed to social issues for years, is part of the Sustainability Group of Assindustria Venetocentro. Some of the most recent sustainability initiatives undertaken include the Ricrearti-Dersut Reuse project, which in 2020 received the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) certification from the CSR and Environment Office of the Treviso and Belluno Chamber of Commerce, for its socially beneficial work, combining environmental considerations through the reuse of materials with social responsibility through the involvement of two local associations that work with disadvantaged people. Participation in the Welfarecare project, which supports prevention through free mammograms and ultrasounds for women between 35 and 49 who are not covered by the national health service. The initiative to create environmentally friendly cigarette butt holders made from empty coffee cans, recently presented to Governor Luca Zaia, is another sustainability initiative focused on health and energy conservation. The latest initiative, in collaboration with a historic local wool mill, Lanificio Bottoli of Vittorio Veneto, focuses on reusing coffee grounds collected by its customers to dye fabrics.
