Sometimes an inspiration can become a source of success that endures for generations to come: this happened to Cavalier Bartolomeo Camardo when, in 1948, during a trip to South America, he was so fascinated by coffee cultivation that he opened Bottega del Caffè in Rome in 1951. He later returned to his homeland, Molise, where he built a new roasting plant, thus securing his family's future and contributing significantly to the local economy. So much so that the grateful municipality named the street where the plant is located after him.

For over seventy years, Camardo has been exporting the Italian coffee tradition around the world. It expresses this not only through all the ways the beverage is prepared (it was among the first to produce E.S.E. pods), but also through the Accademia del Caffè (Master Baristi®) founded in 2016 to transfer knowledge to the professional and non-professional world, in the belief that quality must be perceived to be rewarded, but also in the pragmatic observation that the barista is the key player in the supply chain who can enhance or degrade the result in the cup. A historic company, yet always in step with the times, which today stands out for its use of renewable energy and the inclusion of organic and eco-sustainable products.
